Looking for a different night out in Davis Square? Head to Diva for Indian cuisine and DJ entertainment. It’s very modern lounge in a white bubble-like room with dim lighting and televisions to watch sports games. The dinner and lounge areas are separated by a doorway to give the young professional crowd that frequents Diva a choice of dining or intimate sitting areas. The lounge provides a nice date night and with plans to expand their dancing area into a converted dining room, Diva is a fu...

I walked down to Essex street Thursday night in the freezing cold with my friend to attend Saint Couture Night. I convinced my friend to come along because there was going to be models there and the Celtics game shouldn’t really matter since we are both from Florida anyway. Plus, I reminded him it was a contest and watching wanna-be models is even better than actual ones. He agreed and decided on the models. But lucky for him the game was shown on the TV screens in the lounge anyway. I sat down ...

Walking down to the bottom floor of Tommy Doyle's in Harvard Square, Cambridge, the lights are dim and the mood is mellow seeing how it's only ten o'clock. I ask the resident bartender, Jamie to make me a surprise drink peach Stoli, peach Schnapps and lemonade, which is a fantastic summer drink. It's Wu Tang Wednesday, a day celebrated weekly in memory of, Scott Libbione a patron of Tommy Doyle's from Somerville, MA a city over from Cambridge, who passed away almost a year ago last summer. Wu Ta...

Sex and the City was first being shown Friday May 30th to the public so to kick off the movie, starring four hot New York ladies Mcfadden's bar threw a wild premiere party the evening before. The party started at 6:00 pm and lasted till 2:00 am. I arrived after 11:00 when the music was blasting and people were dancing. Women were sporting their favorite Little Black Dresses and drinking Cosmopolitans. The first 100 girls to come with their Little Black Dress on received free gift bags filled wit...

You know the feeling… sometimes you just want a reason to get glamorous. I’m happy to have had the chance last weekend. It’s the time of year when many of the area colleges and universities, and there are many, are holding alumni weekend activities. This year, Emerson College threw a “Hollywood” themed boat cruise party in Boston for its alumni in honor of all of the movies that are being filmed in the region.
This cruise had its own red carpet, fake paparazzi and plenty of glitz and gl...

Couture Thursdays at Felt brought out the ladies, and quite a few dudes as well, both sexes gathered to celebrate the release of the long awaited movie from the iconic series Sex and the City. The night, sponsored by Vitamin Water and Mix 98.5, included a hair and fashion show. Christopher Kazik of Darik Christopher salon on Newbury St. started off the event going on stage and performing the art of hairstyling. Which seems to be a rather popular thing in Boston. So far, I’ve attended two events ...

I am one of the “lucky ones” who made it on the guest list for the Boston premiere of “Sex and the City” at AMC Loews Boston Common. It was a hot and sticky day with heavy thunderstorms, but that didn’t stop many “fashion forward” ladies from looking hot. You could feel the excitement in the air. I arrived at the theater around 6:40 and called the intern who was supposed to be writing this blog. About 15 minutes later she called to tell me the theater she was at was closed. She had mistake...

There is something about the aura of the Sox throughout the city. Their passionate following resembles more of a religious congregation than a crazed cult. Being from Boston, I have been born into it. Those not given the birthright have been adopted into the family. Our nation spreads coast to coast and has recently jumped the Pacific Ocean to the Far East.
Tickets are a bitch to get. You’re better off spending your time getting good tickets to the Revolution than standing room for a nigh...

Famous Wednesday's at the Foundation Lounge has a live DJ to spice up the night. With people like Sammy from NG Party packing the hotspot and Resident DJ's Dirty Dek and G-Squared providing the crowd with a music mix that ranged from the top hits of today to the top hits from the 80s, it is the “hottest” Wednesday night spot. Reservations are recommend at Foundation Lounge and it is clear why. Around 12:30 the place topped off and the doorman stopped the line. The sophisticated venue also prov...

Venu expected that everyone attending this past Saturday still dressed in style as they always do for their Entourage Saturdays, but this night with the addition of a fashion show featuring BCBG MAXAZRIA’s Spring and Summer 2008 Collection, the “style bar” was set even higher.
When arriving at Venu it was evident that this was a very desirable event to be attending. With the club promoters, 6one7 Productions, hosting the event, it was sure to be a memorable experience. The entrance line ...
