While Comedy Central's Brian Moote and Andrew Sleighter paired with Last Comic Standing's Jeff Dye is certainly the formula for sold out theatres, these three have no problem taking the underground circuit by storm.
Mottley's Comedy Club in downtown Boston hosted these Seattle based comics this past Wednesday night with stellar results. Located in the basement of Trinity in Fanueil Hall, Mottley's 50+ seats were filled to capacity with comedy go-ers ready for a lau...

Halloween in Boston is one of the biggest party nights of the year in fact, its one of the biggest party weekends. With numerous costume parties to choose from, I was looking for one that stood out. When I heard my favorite cover band, The Zoo, was playing The Harp this weekend, my choice was easy.
The Zoo rocked the house as always. I have seen them before and they have yet to disappoint. While there is a main front man, every member of the band sings. The drummer always seems to sing “B...

The Harp, located near the TD Banknorth Garden is the place to be on a Saturday night if your looking for a young energetic crowd ready to have fun. The Harp is one of those very rare places in Boston that you can go during the day to eat, watch the game and then stay until the wheee hours of the night dancing the night away. On Friday and Saturday nights there is a live band that plays upstairs, while there is a DJ downstairs spinning the latest hits. The Harp is equipped with three bars and tw...

Sometimes we just need some time with our gal pals, and lucky for us, Shecky's is there to help. This week marked Shecky's annual Girl's Night Out held at the Boston Center for the Art's Cyclorama, and it's easy to say this wasn't your typical weeknight out.
Complete with lingerie, the latest fashions, wine tasting, and goodie bags filled to the brim, Girl's Night Out certainly offered a variety of interesting female activities. For just $15 you and your closest friends can enjoy complime...

Pride and Glory is your typical corrupt cop flick. Everything gets laid on thick in this movie: the violence is ridiculous, the language is beyond obscene, the camera work is borderline “Blair Witch Project” in some scenes, and the storyline presents the obvious good verses bad formula in a family of cops.
Edward Norton plays (good) Detective Ray Tierney who joins the taskforce in charge of piecing together the slaughter of four fellow cops during a bust gone bad. Colin Farrell is Jimmy ...

Dillon’s on Boylston is a great location to go any night of the week. It is an excellent choice for an after work drink, dinner, or a place to go for a night out in the city. The dinner menu has a little something for everyone ranging from appetizers that are fit for one or a group, full entrees, and homemade pizza. I recommend the buffalo chicken pizza, there is no pizza sauce, and it’s a great choice! After dinner is done the lights are dimmed and the music is turned up. Dill...

I have been really interested in seeing a stand up comedy show for a while now. There are tons of places in Boston you can go to catch a great show. I was searching online for places to see local comedians and found the Beantown Comedy Vault located on Boylston between Gypsy Bar and The Alley.
So, over a week ago I promised myself I would go checkout this comedian named Greg Howell who performs on Thursdays, according to the flyer I found online. Thursday rolls around but I can’t find an...

Lamont Price may as well claim his crown as “King of the Alley” after Wednesday night’s stellar performance. The third of his Sweetwater Comedy series, A Dark Night: Return of the Jokerz, was hosted by Price himself and featured some of the areas hottest comedians including Tom Dustin, Shaun Bedgood, Daniela Capolino, Orlando Baxter, Taylor Connelly, Graig Murphy, and the Cazz.

The theater was nearly empty for the 5:45pm showing of Body of Lies, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. I won’t ruin the movie for you, no spoilers. Here is just a brief description of what the movie is about.
Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio) is an undercover CIA operative searching for terrorists who are suspected to be working out of Jordan. The terrorist organization has been bombing civilian targets at random throughout Europe and has promised to inflict harm on American so...
